To Our Valued U.S. PLY Contractors and Distributors:
How is it even possible that it is already June? Usually, summer signals the beginning of the “busy season” in commercial roofing. Not this year! U.S. PLY business has been very brisk since the beginning of the year, and we look forward to it continuing throughout Q2 & Q3. Now that school is out for summer and all the school roofing projects are beginning, I encourage our U.S. PLY customers to get your orders into Chrisy O at our Inside Sales Desk as soon as possible. This will help us to get your roofing materials in the production queue and manufactured in a timely basis.
While the sales of our tried-and-true U.S. PLY APP & SBS modified bitumen rolls continue at a steady pace, I am happy to report that our “self-adhered” rolls have become U.S PLY’s fastest growing product line. Our All Weather SA Cap sheet and SA Base sheet have seen tremendous growth in the past several years due to it’s fair price, ease of installation, and it’s availability in the most popular shingle colors. While at the same time, we have seen a huge increase in sales of all the High Temp SA Underlayments that U.S. PLY manufactures. There is no doubt that self-adhered SBS products are becoming a larger factor in the roofing industry.
Please note that U.S. PLY will be participating in the Texas Roofing Contracting Association Convention again this year to be held at the Irving Convention Center September 12-13th. We will be located in Booth #523. We will be doing things a little different as Jon Edison (USP Tech Director) and everybody’s favorite, Christy O, will be representing in the booth each day. Please stop by and say hello.
Lastly, this month I would like to highlight one of our valued U.S. PLY employees and his very talented & smart daughter. Bryan Miles is our CFO and has served in that position for a total of 11 years. Bryan has been a valuable asset to U.S. PLY and has proven himself integral in making U.S. PLY a strong company. Bryan’s daughter, Emma Kay Miles, recently graduated as the Valedictorian of Bridgeport High School and will soon be attending Texas A&M. I can’t imagine how proud Bryan is of his daughter and all the hard work she put in to graduate at the top of the BHS Class of 2024…..now Gig’em!
