The year 2025 has kicked off to a fast and historic start. U.S. PLY’s sales desk has been super busy, and our January sales were outstanding. Thanks to all of you for your orders that have started the year off with a bang. I am pleased to let you know that our annual plant shut down in late December for routine maintenance and line improvements went great. The line fired up perfectly and we are making modified roofing rolls at a historic pace.
In January, we saw President Trump sworn in for his historic second term in the White House. While I am very encouraged at the long-term economic outlook for our country under Trump, I do think we may see some short-term price increases due to the recent tariffs that are being placed on foreign countries. Even though U.S. PLY’s rolls are 100% made in Texas, many of our raw materials come from countries who have had tariffs levied on them. As always, U.S. PLY will do our best to buffer any cost increases when possible.
I hope to see you at the International Roofing Expo February, 19th -21st at the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center in San Antonio. Texas is by far U.S. PLY’s strongest roofing market and I am excited to see many of our loyal Texas contractors and distributors at the show. U.S. PLY will be located in Booth #25119. I would love for you to come by the booth and visit with myself, Scott Keith (National Sales Director) and Jon Edison (Technical Director).
I can never say it enough, but I am so appreciative of each of our customers. Let’s make 2025 a fun and profitable year!
