USP™ STANDARD SBS 160 MODIFIED BITUMEN MEMBRANES are manufactured from formulas using the high quality materials available in the market today and are one of the principle waterproofing components in U.S. Ply roof systems. U.S. Ply has engineered and developed USP™ SBS (Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene) 160 hot asphalt or cold adhesive applied modified bitumen membrane to meet or exceed the industry standards for high performance membranes.

U.S. Ply begins with select grades of asphalt which are then modified with elastomeric (SBS) polymers. The result is a modified bitumen compound that demonstrates excellent waterproofing characteristics, extreme heat resistance, low temperature flexibility and excellent elongation properties. U.S. Ply then strategically adds reinforcements in the modified bitumen compound to incorporate additional performance characteristics into the membrane.

To compliment the USP™ SBS 160 modified bitumen membranes, U.S. Ply uses USP™ SBS Modified Bitumen Adhesive to adhere the membrane to selected substrates and base sheets.
