USP™ Modified Asphalt 150 is made from 100% American made asphalt which is blended
with select resins to enhance elongation and recovery. This combination makes it the most ideal choice for use as a hot roofing adhesive to bond insulation, built up felts and modified bitumen membranes.
Approvals: Meets or exceeds the requirements of ASTM D 312-95. Contact U.S. Ply, Inc. for specific/applicable codes.
Application: USP™ Modified Asphalt 150 the temperature at the point of application shall be the EVT ± 25°F. If EVT temperature at the point of application cannot be maintained due to cold, wind conditions, or delays, stop application. The application rate of inter-ply asphalt and flood coat shall be determined by the applicable system specification of U.S. Ply, Inc. Heating Instructions: USP™ Modified Asphalt 150 shall not be heated closer that 35°F of the materials flash point as noted on the factory package. USP™ NVB (Nailable Venting Base) Product Data Sheet
Date added: 02/15/2008
USP™ NVB (Nailable Venting Base)/USP™ NVB (M) is manufactured with a heavyweight, select fiberglass mat designed and constructed to be strong and wrinkle resistant. The glass mat is saturated with a high quality, non-filled asphaltic bitumen and coated on the underside with a ceramic granule to allow for lateral venting. USP™ NVB/USP™ NVB (M) is designed for use as a base sheet for hot mopped, cold applied and torch applied roofing applications where additional venting is desired in specifications requiring an ASTM D-4897 Type II fiberglass venting base sheet.
Application Method: USP™ NVB (Nailable Venting Base) is applied with mechanical fasteners.
Fastening Pattern: Fastening patterns vary according to desired uplift resistance. Always contact the U.S. Ply, Inc. Technical Services department to verify fastening pattern meets desired uplift resistance.
Note: The fastening patterns and lay lines are different between USP™ Base Sheet and USP™ Base (M) because of the difference in product width. To avoid confusion, these products should not be mixed.
